Welcome to Lighten Up — a blonding-only studio where full highlights are the whole menu, not an afterthought, and corrective colour work is there for blondes that need rescuing. No partials, no shortcuts, no, not “blonde enough.” Just bright, healthy, head-turning blonde, done properly.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Lighten Up blonde. Kristen specializes in intentional, customized blonding designed for long-term results — not one-time appointments. She works exclusively with clients who value consistency, professional products, and a structured maintenance schedule, so this application makes sure you’re the right fit before anyone books anything. Please answer all questions thoroughly — honest, detailed answers are how great blondes happen.
When you’re done, the form builds your application into one tidy message to copy into an Instagram DM to @lightenupblondingstudio — or send by email, if that’s more your style. If it’s a fit, Kristen replies and books you in herself.
Copy it, open the DM, paste, send — then attach your inspo pics in the chat. Prefer email? The email button opens your mail app with the whole application filled in; just attach your inspo pics there instead. Either way, Kristen takes it from there.

Every blonde on the studio’s Instagram is a real client in Kristen’s chair — no stock photos, no borrowed work. Go see the real thing, then come back and apply for yours.

Before You Apply
Short, clear, and the same for everybody — so your appointment (and everyone else’s) runs on time.
Life happens — just give us 48 hours’ notice to cancel or move your appointment, no hard feelings.
Cancelling the same day — or the morning of — incurs a $250 fee. A blonding appointment is a big block of the day that can’t be refilled at the last minute.
All pricing is listed on the service cards. If there will be extra charges based on your hair length, density, or how bright you’re going, we’ll go over everything in your appointment before we start — no surprises at the till. Once your application is accepted, a non-refundable $100 deposit is required to secure your booking.
New-client spots are limited, and not every applicant is accepted. Right now the studio takes on full-time clients only — blondes who commit to the blonding schedule Kristen sets, every 6, 8, 10, or 12 weeks, with proper home care in between. One-and-done and occasional appointments aren’t being taken on. If your hair history, your goals, or your schedule aren’t the right fit, we’ll tell you honestly — a no now beats hair nobody’s happy with later.
Inspo pics are a starting point, not a promise. We work with what’s actually on your head — your colour history, your density, your budget — and blonde this good sometimes takes more than one session to get there safely.
Respect goes both ways — for your stylist, for the studio, and for the other blondes in it. Arrive on time, be kind, and keep the drama out of the chair. Good hair and good manners travel together.
You’re paying for a specialist’s judgment, so listen to it. If Kristen says a goal needs two sessions, a toner first, or a hard no, there’s years of blonding behind that call — and it’s always about protecting your hair.
